Argentinean filmmaker, Fernando Roca, is part of the Huinca Cine family and recently directed Diente Destapador. The piece, by Ogilvy Argentina for Salta beer, won the Titanium Lion in the Titanium & Integrated category in Cannes Lions 2015. This is one of the most coveted and important Lions in the festival. “It is simply an incredible, provocative piece, which charts a new direction in the industry” said Roca. Diente Destapador was made under the catchphrase They lost a tooth, we gave them back something better and it also won a bronze Lion in the Promo category. Besides being acknowledged in Cannes, his piece for Salta beer also won in Rugbeer and in Long Life to Rugby, in 2012 and 2013, respectively.The passion and dedication that imbues his work has earned him 4 Lions in 2015, 2012 and 2013; 2 Clios; 2 Effie; Fiap; El Ojo; Diente; 2 Wave and a One Show. He works for the best local agencies and also films in various places in the region. He is currently viewed as one of the most disruptive directors in the market.Among the director´s latest pieces are Ibuevanol that was a “more than interesting challenge”, expressed Roca, and he explained that it was made using a different, new script for the brand. “I was very enthusiastic from the start. We established the goal of making the project grow and achieving a modern piece with lots of energy so as to convey the strength in each woman”. He recently filmed a piece by David for Powerade and America´s Cup in Santiago de Chile. Roca said that “working in a team with Cinemagica with our local partner and an agency like David was spectacular”.
