According to Casanova//McCann Creative Director Fernando Poblete, the multi-awarded campaign Second Chances has been an invitation to action and change, and the honors it won at the 2019 Clio Health Awards – three Grand Prix, two silver and a bronze – are a testimony to that. “Everyone talks about brands’ influence, but beyond the recommendations we can make as a brand, daring to take a stand is up to clients,” Poblete said. The campaign for Donate Life California received three Grand Clios at the 2019 Clio Health Awards in the Innovation (Health & Wellness), Out of Home (Health & Wellness) and Partnerships & Collaborations (Health & Wellness) categories; two silver, in Direct (Health & Wellness) and Public Relations (Health & Wellness); and a bronze in Experiential/Events (Health & Wellness). “I think its impact on industry festivals reflects the power of Second Chances. Winning three Grand Clios in the Clio Health Awards fills us with pride – we still can´t believe it. Our entries were very good and we were the only McCann agency in the world that won Grand Clios,” said the creative director of the California-based Hispanic agency. The ad campaign promises drivers who commit traffic offenses a “second chance” as a token of gratitude for being registered organ donors and giving other citizens a second chance at life. “As an advertising agency we are very happy to help Donate Life California by doing our bit to change people in a positive way. And we achieved it with a simple, human, and honest idea that moved people to sign up with the state organ and tissue donor registry. That is what we are passionate about. That is why Second Chanceshad such a great impact on drivers, policemen and the press in general.”
