The premiere of the new show, Pa Lante con Cristina, hosted by media icon Cristina Saralegui, delivered triple digit year-over-year increases for its time period on Telemundo among Total Viewers and Adults 18-49 nationally, and double and triple digit increases across key markets including New York, Miami, Houston and Los Angeles, according to Nielsen. The programs premiere on Sunday, October 9 at 7pm, which featured regional Mexican artist Joan Sebastian, Telemundo artists Jencarlos Canela and Gaby Espino, and Mexican star Gloria Trevi, reached a cumulative audience of nearly 2.9 million (2,868,000) Total Viewers (Persons 2+) and more than 1.6 million (1,624,000) Adults 18-49. Pa Lante con Cristina averaged nearly 1.2 million (1,185,000) total viewers and 636,000 adults 18-49, doubling the time period delivery among Total Viewers and Adults 18-49, as compared to October 2010. The Pa Lante con Cristina fan base on Facebook and Twitter grew 48% after the first episode, reaching 13,206 fans and 2,773 followers respectively. #PalanteConCristina was trending in Miami during the episodes East Coast broadcast.
