Rubén Galindo: América celebra a Chespirito is a very ambitious project we’re producing for Televisa

Producer Rubén Galindo said to PRODU that the casting for the second season of Pequeños Gigantes will kick off in February, and added they are preparing the U.S. tour of the first season winners.“We are back from touring Puerto Rico and we have already secured visas to bring the kids to various cities in the U.S. Our goal is to reach the U.S. because the show was a total hit on Univisión. Additionally, we will announce the kickoff of the second season casting in February. Once underway, we plan to combine the best of the first and second seasons,” said Galindo. He pointed out there is still no date set for the premiere of the second season, but emphasized it would take place this year. Regarding the project América celebra a Chespirito, Galindo said it is “a very ambitious project commissioned by Televisa that we’ve been working on for six months. It reaches audiences across Latin America, with five casting calls that will culminate with a show at Mexico City’s Auditorio Nacional on March 11th.”12 countries have been confirmed so far and they seek the best of each category: mass choreography, experts, impersonators, “tell me your story,” and “realizing the dream of el Chavo’s barrel,” where an underprivileged child will be chosen to act out a live sketch during the show.
