To commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Puebla, Discovery en Español will premiere its original production 5 de Mayo: Un día de gloria on Sunday, April 29 at 10pm. The docudrama, explores the historical events of this epic battle, a symbol of the triumphal resistance of the Mexican people over the French army.The documentary, directed by Mexican filmmaker Gerardo Tort, retells the story of one of the most decisive moments in Mexican history, combining faithful reenactments and the testimony of renowned researchers and historians. 5 de Mayo: Un día de gloria was filmed at different locations in Puebla, such as the historic Hacienda Micuautla, Fuerte Guadalupe, and the Museo del Alfeñique, perfect settings to recreate the events of that fateful day on May the 5th.The Battle of Puebla is one of the most iconic events in Mexicos past.
