Ismael Cala, is the host of CNN en Españols interview show Cala, which has been on the air for over two years. He said to PRODU this year he will travel to other countries in the region to record several interviews, like he did in the past in Colombia and Panama.Its going to be a busy year for Cala on the Road. Were going to Mexico in April to record a full week of shows. Were also looking to visit Bolivia and Venezuela, said Cala.The host has already produced over 600 interviews. This week Cala will be in Los Angeles, where he will record his show from the CNN studios, and on Friday, March 15th, will have a meet-and-greet at Plaza La Alameda starting at 7pm.Im happy to be part of CNN en Español in this new stage that started what Cynthia Hudson coined the evolution. The channel really transformed itself from a 13-year history of being a 24-hour news channel to a true informative channel. Ive seen the evolution of CNNE, adapting to the new reality of traditional media having to co-exist with social media, said Cala.When asked about CNN Latino, the host said its another great challenge because they now compete with large free-TV networks in the U.S.
