Football Dreams, a World of Passion
After its phenomenal success on Colombian television screens during its first month of transmission, Football Dreams, a World of Passion, (La Selección) produced by Caracol Television and distributed by Caracol TV Internacional, comes to the United States through UniMás.Starting August 5th audiences will be captivated by this exciting series every Monday through Thursday night at 9pm.This marks the first international release of this outstanding production. Night after night audiences of UniMás will get to know the fascinating story inspired by the lives of Carlos “el Pibe” Valderrama, Faustino Asprilla, René Higuita and Freddy Rincón, the emblematic players of the Colombian national football team in the 1990s, which became idols in many countries. Omar Murillo, John Álex Castillo, Édgar Vittorino and Antonio Jiménez are responsible for characterizing the 4 players, who have captivated viewers, national and international press by the similarity in physical appearance, gestures and even how they speak. These talented actors are accompanied by an outstanding cast: Carmenza Gómez, Ramses Ramos, Bárbaro Marín and Jeimy Paola Vargas, make part of this blockbuster.Under the direction of Ricardo Coral and Luis Alberto Restrepo, with the production of Asier Aguilar, Football Dreams, a World of Passion has been filmed completely on location in different Colombian cities like Medellín, Cali, Bogotá, Santa Marta, Cúcuta and other European destinations in efforts to recreate the various milestones lives by these idols.
