La Otra Familia
ViendoMovies premiers this month the film La Otra Familia directed by the renown Mexican director Gustavo Loza. The films success spurred its launch throughout Latin America, being also nominated for the Ariel Awards in Mexico, 2012. La Otra Familia deals with the controversy created when a gay couple pursues the adoption of Hendrix, the 7 year old son of a drug addicted mother. The films cast includes well-known Mexican actors and actresses such as Jorge Salinas, Luis Roberto Guzmán, Ana Serradilla and Carmen Salinas. Throughout the film, Gustavo Loza masterfully directs and touches on difficult social issues prevailing in Latin America as well as in other countries such as domestic violence, drug abuse, adoption and gay relationships. La Otra Familia is part of ViendoMovies August line-up, which also includes The Escorial Conspiracy and Héctor (Spain), Spanking Barrio (Venezuela), and The Tenth Hell (Argentina).
