“This is a great season. Fans of Señora Acero cannot miss it, because we gave the story a total turnabout, and although it continues to be action and suspense, it now includes many more family and love topics,” said Carolina Miranda, actress who plays the role of Vicenta Acero in Señora Acero 5.
In this fifth season, Vicenta´s character suffers a huge change, she explains, since she is now a mother. “As you could see in the promotional, the story takes place six years later–a significant passage of time–and now my character is a mother. That changes her entirely, because her son is her strength and her weakness, and she undergoes a physical transformation and has an entirely different look,” said Miranda, after mentioning that all the characters change a great deal.
Made by Telemundo in co-production with Argos, Señora Acero 5 mainly takes place in locations. Two months into the shooting, they will continue shooting until the end of the year. Miranda also highlighted the quality of the filming equipment they are using, and that most of the scenes are shot out of studios and in locations, with the minimum use of sets.
Another novelty is that they introduce the use of horses, which is why Miranda has been training in horseback riding. “Although I have already worked with horses in other productions, in this one, the demand is to do action scenes while riding the horse, and that is very challenging for me,” she said.
