Imperio de Mentiras
Univision premieres its long-awaited series Imperio de Mentiras, marking the big return to the screen of telenovela superstar Angelique Boyer alongside popular actor Andrés Palacios.
The exhilarating thriller mixed with a classic melodrama that reimagines one of the most-successful Turkish series ever debuts on September 21 at 9pm ET and will air Monday through Friday on Univision.
Produced by Giselle González (Cuna de Lobos, Caer en Tentación, Yo No Creo en Los Hombres, La Candidata), the story centers on Elisa Cantú (Angelique Boyer), a young and passionate art curator, and Leonardo Velasco (Andrés Palacios), a humble and honest policeman whose lives are intertwined forever by a tragedy. After her father and his ex-girlfriend are murdered in strange circumstances, they will investigate the mysterious relationship to find out the truth. While coping with a painful loss, both are swept up in an unstoppable and passionate affair.
Imperio de Mentiras (Empire of Lies) is an original adaptation of international hit Kara Para Aşk from the producers of Univision top-rated series Amor Eterno (Kara Sevda).
