Univision’s Amor Eterno continues to thrill audiences as Monday night’s season two premiere reached nearly 3 million Total Viewers 2+ who tuned-in to all or part of the episode. The one-hour premiere episode averaged 1.9 million Total Viewers 2+, 747,000 Adults 18-49 and 305,000 Adults 18-34, positioning Univision ahead of CBS and FOX among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 in the 9pm hour. The internationally acclaimed romantic drama also attracted more Total Viewers 2+ in its timeslot than FOX.
With a primetime lineup consisting of Ringo, Amor Eterno, and El Dragón, Univision out-delivered CBS and FOX for the entire night among Adults 18-34, and bested FOX among Adults 18-49. The award-winning Turkish series led Univision to double-to-triple audience advantages over Telemundo’s La Doña: Edicion Especial in the 9pm ET/PT hour among Total Viewers 2+ (+180% advantage), Adults 18-49 (+126% advantage) and Adults 18-34 (+75% advantage). In fact, Amor Eterno out-delivered Telemundo’s entire primetime lineup among all demos and made Univision the No. 1 Spanish-language network for the entire night among Total Viewers 2+ (+105% advantage), Adults 18-49 (+73% advantage) and Adults 18-34 (+48% advantage).
In its new timeslot, season two of Amor Eterno attracted more Total Viewers 2+ (+59%), Adults 18-49 (+65%) and Adults 18-34 (+45%) compared to the season one premiere that aired on July 8, 2019 at 7pm ET/PT.
This marked the highest-rated 9pm ET/PT novela/series premiere since La Doble Vida de Estela Carillo (05/08/2017) on the Univision Network among Total Viewers 2+, and since Papá a Toda Madre (01/15/2018) among Adults 18-34. Overall, Amor Eterno is Univision’s top-rated primetime novela/series premiere since El Rico y Lázaro (01/15/2018) among Total Viewers 2+ and second-highest in 2019-2020 among Adults 18-49 (La Usurpadora) and Adults 18-34 (Ringo).
