The finale of the latest season of Telemundo’s hit super series El Señor de los Cielos (ESDLC) ranked as the #1 Spanish-language primetime program Friday night among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34, according to Nielsen. The electrifying finale also ranked as the #1 broadcast program in the country at 10pm among Adults 18-34.
Bolstered by the series finale, Telemundo ranked as the #1 Spanish-language network in primetime among Adults 18-49. Featuring the return of a star-studded international cast that includes Matías Novoa, Carmen Aub, Robinson Díaz, Eduardo Santamarina, Ninel Conde, Iván Arana, and Isabella Castillo, the finale of the super series averaged 749,000 Adults 18-49, 293,000 Adults 18-34, and 1.3 million in Total Viewers. The finale was also the #1 most social Hispanic primetime series, according to Nielsen Social.
Filmed in Mexico and Greece, the seventh chapter of the Emmy Award winning franchise kicked off with the Casillas family fighting to bring back Aurelio (Rafael Amaya) from his coma before his enemies got to him, while also launching a daring rescue operation to free Amado (Novoa), who surrendered to the Mexican authorities to avoid being judged by the United States legal system.
