Last year Euronews launched its new strategy 3600 to provide more localized content, either on TV or VOD, text, video, or audio-only through podcasts. The network’s distribution is based on a unique offering of news services to further satisfy the expectations of Latin American viewers.
Euronews is available in more than 35 million homes in Latin America. It has a presence in major markets such as Mexico, through Izzi, and in Argentina through Telecom Argentina, but also in Nicaragua with Claro; in Chile, Peru, Costa Rica, Bolivia, and Brazil.
This year the network has a greater focus on Latin America as it represents a priority region for development. The purpose is to expand and conquer new territories such as Honduras, Salvador, Paraguay, and Guatemala.
“These markets are crucial to us because we attract our group of solid audiences worldwide. Our recent landings on TikiLive or SamsungTV + in Mexico at the end of January, are examples of a series of launches expected in the coming months throughout Latin America,” highlighted Sarah Mimouni, Distribution Manager for Latin America & Out of Home (OOH) of Euronews.
The network also operates at a local and national level, for example, with the National Institute of Radio and Television of Peru, to which it provides news and/or articles so they can broadcast them in its own channel and website.
