The 12th season of Nuestra Belleza Latina (NBL), Univision’s longest-running reality show that will return to the screen in the last quarter of the year, will be the network’s first show to be produced again with a live audience, but taking care about the capacity of people.
“We have produced shows amidst of covid following all the protocols, but this will be the first to return with a live audience. We are working with production about what we are able to do, including the environment of the mansion that is an integral part of NBL,” comments Elisa Segovia, VP of Programming and Brand Strategy at Univision.
Segovia stressed that the new season of NBL will focus on 360 degrees’ beauty where contestants cultivate and develop. She recalled that the show began as a beauty pageant and has evolved to drive inspiration, transformation, and empowerment. “It can be said that this can be considered the most rigorous job interview that exists on television because we are focused on finding the next talent for the Univision networks,” she highlighted.
Alejandra Espinoza returns as host and Daniela Álvarez, former Miss Colombia, joins the show as a jury.
There have already been two virtual castings with a great response: In the first, they received more than a thousand requests from the United States and Puerto Rico, and in the second, 1,400.
