Semillitas, a pay TV channel owned by SOMOS TV, with a successful presence in the US, Puerto Rico, Central America, and the Caribbean, was launched in December 2009 and is celebrating its 12th anniversary.

For this twelfth anniversary, Semillitas will celebrate with promotional videos on all its platforms: YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. The channel will also premiere the Chuggington series on December 10, including a Christmas special programming throughout the month.
Semillitas’s mission is to deliver safe, healthy, and non-violent entertainment for children, the most vulnerable segment of the audience. Apart from being a commercial-free channel, Semillitas is known for celebrating the festivities and traditions of the countries where it is broadcast, which is key to the US Hispanic market, and by offering to the new generation of parents, topics of interest to support the kind of education they want for their offspring. This strategy and care when selecting content have been key in the growth of the channel’s distribution.
