Propagate, owned by Ben Silverman and Howard T. Owens, has just launched a division dedicated to scripted and unscripted content in Spanish called “Propagate Fuego”.
The new division will be led by Silverman, Chairman, and co-CEO of Propagate, together with Isabel San Vargas, President of Global Production, who was recently promoted to shareholding partner.
“As a Mexican-American partner in Propagate, I’m so pleased we are creating a division dedicated to Spanish-language content,” said San Vargas. “The Spanish-language market is vibrant and diverse and appeals to global audiences. We are so excited to launch Propagate Fuego to bring more A+ original content to audiences around the world.”
Catalina Ramírez, VP of Propagate International; Rodney Ferrell, Executive VP of Scripted Content, and Cyrus Farrokh, President of Propagate International, will also be involved in the new business line.
Propagate Fuego will produce and develop fiction and unscripted content and formats for Hispanic markets around the world with a special focus on the Americas.
Propagate already has experience developing original content in Spanish, such as Pinches Momias, which will soon debut on Univision’s global streaming service; Rebelde for Netflix; the music contest La Firma; the unscripted series Haunted Latin America, also for Netflix.
