The actors Sebastián and Emiliano Zurita, partners of Addiction House, producers, and creators of Cómo Sobrevivir Soltero (8×30´), explained that they founded the production company 13 years ago, as Sebastián’s initial idea, which Emiliano later joined when he graduated from university. “My goal was to cast myself in projects that nobody would ever talk to me about because I thought that in order to make different stories, I would have to create them myself,” Sebastián said, after explaining that the production house was founded 50/50 between the two brothers.
They made a movie in New York, and then the idea for Cómo Sobrevivir Soltero (How to Survive Single) came up. “We started writing together and that partnership was born,” said Sebastián Zurita, after commenting that the goal of the production company was to tell other types of stories.
When they did the first season of Cómo Sobrevivir Soltero, Ricardo Gaspar de Alba joined as a partner. “Now we have several schemes: film, theater, and television production; and the marketing and commercial part is run by Ricardo. We have a very good combination. But Solteros was the audiovisual turning point,” said Sebastián.
Addiction House also produced the play Enemigo de Clase, Emiliano Zurita’s first project as an actor and Sebastián Zurita as director.
Emiliano Zurita said they want to work on all kinds of genres, “the most important is that they are stories in which we would like to be a part or watch them on television or in the movies. That led us to look for projects from other people and also to have our original ones, with which we are very excited to work.”
They have in development or in production two or three comedy shows, but also drama, thriller, action, among others.
“We have had significant growth in recent years, there is a lot of competition and we do have very refined projects. They know us for comedy, but we have a range of possibilities,” said Emiliano.
They hope to continue their alliance with Campanario since they were very happy with the experience of the co-production of Cómo Sobrevivir Soltero.
“We do a lot of thinking about the projects, there are some that we want my brother to star in, others my dad, others me, and others with actors. What we do focus on is that the project we present has a strong talent behind it. and in front of the camera. And it’s something that Addiction does very well,” explained Sebastián Zurita, after commenting that they have also thought about a project for the near future that will bring together both brothers in the acting.
