Arturo Chávez, the Managing Partner of DelArt Distribution, launched a call to incorporate feature films, fiction series, and finished documentaries from Spain into their US and Latin America distribution catalog. The call, which also includes filmmakers, directors, producers, and film directors from Ibero-America, was made in regard to the next Iberseries & Platino Industria that will take place between September 26-30.
“We want to be the bridge for Spanish distributors and producers who have not been able to enter the US and Latin America markets,” Chavez said.
Chávez explained that he came up with the idea during the last Malaga Festival, where he saw that many independent producers from Spain find it difficult to distribute their work in the US. At that festival, he obtained a group of films starring Ana de Armas (No Time to Die and Blond) and now they are offering Morbido one of those movies, Anabel, a horror film.
“We will be at Iberseries open to meet most of the producers and become the link between them and buyers from Latin America and the US. My call is for a catalog of contents already finished. One of the conditions is that these must be in HD. We have received an outstanding response because even before the kickoff of Iberseries, there have already been some people who have approached us to offer ‘a very good catalog’ that we can distribute in the US and get with us the distribution that they cannot find” said Chávez.
