At MIPCOM, RTVE closed several agreements for its new productions. Fuerza de Paz and HIT were acquired for broadcast in Latin America; and seven primetime fiction series: Promesas de Arena, Isabel, Fuerza de Paz, HIT, Traición, La Caza, and Estoy Vivo, which will reach the US.
Sequía is also being considered in several countries in Eastern Europe, Latin America, Israel, the United Kingdom, Korea, the US, Canada, and France, while the daily series Dos Vidas could be broadcast in Brazil, the US, and several Latin American networks.
A package of series and programs for Brazil has also been sold, including the documentary series Jardines con Historia; and Ciudades Españolas Patrimonio de la Humanidad, acquired by TV Globo. On the other hand, RTVE reported that they’ve reached an agreement for a package of cooking shows that can be enjoyed in Latin America.
New distributors will be including RTVE’s international channels in Honduras, Colombia, Costa Rica, Guatemala, and Venezuela; and the fiction and entertainment channel STAR TVE will be broadcast through a pan-regional operator based in Peru. For its part, the kid’s channel Clan will be part of other offers in the Dominican Republic, Colombia, Nicaragua, Honduras, Guatemala, and El Salvador.
