The screening of Telemundo Global Studios opened with a video in which Rafael Amaya in his role as Aurelio Casillas in season 8 of El Señor de los Cielos, spoke about the journey of these ten years. With the slogan “The Telemundo edge”, the event took place at The Temple House in Miami Beach during Content Americas.
In the presentation, Karen Barroeta, EVP of Production and Development, Telemundo Global Studios, highlighted that her company keeps on growing as the most important production company in Spanish. “We continue winning with bold and high-profile productions, always aiming at creativity and innovation.”
Barroeta introduced titles of their new offer, such as the thriller Mujer de Oro that will debut in 2024, an original idea by José Ignacio Valenzuela (“El Chascas”); the series Hasta Encontrarte (title to be confirmed) that marks the return of William Levy to Telemundo’s screen; and the fifth season of Sin Senos sí hay Paraíso, in co-production with TIS (previously Telecolombia and Estudios Teleméxico).
They also offered a sneak peek of shows such as Blue Cage, the first premium series under a co-production agreement between Telemundo Global Studios and Inter Medya of Turkey; El Señor de los Cielos 8, which already comprises more than 600 hours; the thriller Juego de Mentiras with original music by the Mexican Aleks Syntek, and El Conde: Amor y Honor, starring Fernando Colunga. The actors Chantal Andere and Sergio Sendel were at the event.
Barroeta praised the series El Señor de los Cielos. “It has been the fiction with the highest audience on Hispanic TV since 2020. This time El Señor de los Cielos is reloaded with much more action, drama, adrenaline, a lot of heart and with a Rafael Amaya more powerful than ever. There are more than 80 exciting episodes, more than 80 surprising developments that our beloved writer Luis Zelkowicz has given us.”
