Arturo Yépez, CEO of 2bLatam, assured that they are starting the year aiming to continue to consolidate as content producers and as a network that seeks opportunities for digital creators on premium screens: “Platforms are looking not only for content, but also subscribers. Everyone is competing for the eyeballs, and digital creators and the talent that is out there are making that happen.”
Yépez is at Content Americas showing their new productions and closing several agreements with producers, channels and distributors. He will soon announce an agreement with a very relevant Latino actor to work on a series in English.
2bLatam will continue to make movies and look for alliances with companies that align with its type of content. As an example of this, Yepez mentioned the agreement they have with 3Pas Studios and confirmed that more developments are coming: “Now thinking about the window from the beginning. It’s been a learning process.”
He highlighted that the transition from Touché Films (Enchufe TV) to 2bLatam has been successful and has allowed them to expand, maintaining the same vision. “We want to be the Latin American content production studio for the world. The alliance with 2b gave us the idea that the business goes beyond a channel and that we can grow by generating valuable content. The entire digital universe and the data that is there can enrich the content made for the platforms.”
Yepez is also a promoter of Ecuador as an international place of production, together with other producers and companies in the country, such as Ecuavisa.
