FAST Alliance, a non-profit organization, is a coalition of FAST channels created by Gustavo Neiva de Medeiros, founder of TeleUP. Among its member is Gustavo Aparicio, managing director of Spanglish Movies.
“Our goal is to do our bit to drive the growth of the industry, from the perspective of FAST channels and content creators, aiding to generate joint marketing programs, bring traffic and users to the applications and establish standards of clear rules between the different chain links in the industry,” said Neiva de Medeiros.
In addition, the FAST Alliance aims to help new FAST channels to monetize their advertising revenue more effectively.
“We want to promote the role of publisher of the FAST channels. We believe that it is a developing industry with the potential to grow exponentially and an organization that unites FAST channel publishers can take the industry to the next level together with other network members such as TV producers, technical platforms, and adtech services. Together, we can all make this industry grow. It’s the vision of Gustavo Neiva De Medeiros. Any FAST channel can join our organization, no matter where they are from, at zero cost. We have already begun to promote communication and networking among ourselves, sharing experiences, knowledge and information, and collaboration,” said Aparicio.
FAST Alliance aims to serve the international market, not just the US. “Gustavo Aparicio is a very international figue. This industry is just kicking off in other parts of the world, it’s not like broadcasting. FAST is not part of the conversation because it lacks the necessary advertising ecosystem. Aparicio is guiding us to become an international organization not only in the US, by improving content, integrators, CPMs, the volume of inventory in each territory, and finally the transactions generated by advertising agencies,” highlighted Neiva De Medeiros.
Currently, the alliance already has several founding members with more than 30 affiliated channels, including Best Ever Channels, AcTVe, TriCoast, and Global Fashion TV, and they are just warming up. “Our goal is to gather as many channels as there are in the industry. A number of major companies including Chicken Soup for the Soul and CineVerse have structured a similar organization to integrate large US publishers and it is natural that we coordinate many policies with them because we share a similar vision and goals. The technology that is inherent in this area has no borders and allows us to take the organization to an international level,” Aparicio pointed out.
Aparicio added that one of the key points “is professional development and training for those working in the FAST channel publishing industry and creativity to increase better competitive content and have better traffic. The entire FAST channel ecosystem can really promote quality content that benefits the entire network from creators to smart TVs to advertisers.”
Among the benefits FAST Alliance offers its members are access to a shared ad server, dedicated ad managers, lower costs, the expertise of a steering committee that is staffed by pioneers in live streaming, lower prices, opportunities for networking, and discounts on third-party services. “By joining the FAST Alliance, new FAST channels can overcome ad revenue challenges and create a sustainable and profitable business,” he said.
