Canela Media launched Campeonas, its latest sports-focused original program on Canela Deportes, which will cover the biggest sporting event for women’s soccer happening in Australia and New Zealand this summer.
Campeonas will feature the latest news from down-under, stories beyond events on the field focused on Latina players playing in the competition and the environment around the competition. It will also include live on-site coverage. It is available in a 12-episode series airing every Wednesday at 6:00pm ET and available throughout the summer on video on demand.
The show, sponsored by Pronamel, will give viewers a deep insight into soccer from the following experts:
● Ivonne Almaraz, widely recognized journalist in women’s soccer and member of the editorial committee for Women’s Liga MX.
● Geraldine Carrasquero, Venezuelan former player and current talent expert with ESPN LATAM
● Nathalia Prieto, Colombian journalist pioneer in women’s soccer, former ESPN journalist and founder of Fémina Fútbol, a publisher dedicated to covering women’s soccer in South America

Also launched on Canela Deportes this month is a new show called, El Score which focuses on American Sports, covering the top news and games from the NFL, NBA, MLB, including all of the key sporting events happening in the United States.
“El Score will explore the most important events and news happening in American sports,from the latest home run to the teams in the Final Four,” added Osorio. “Canela Deportes is the destination for all of our Latino sports fanatics to get the latest content and engage in conversations about all that is happening with their favorite teams.”
El Score will air once a week on Canela Deportes featuring an analysis with statistics and commentary on what is making news in the world of sports, including crucial athletes and key moments across all leagues.
