Got Talent Argentina, a successful format from the Fremantle catalog, premiered on Monday the 21st on Telefe. The co-production between the channel and RGB will be broadcast from Monday to Thursday at 9:45pm and on Sundays at 10:15pm. It will be also available on YouTube and Twitch, where every night Lula Miranda will invite the public to participate and comment on what happens in the competition.
The shows will also be available exclusively on Pluto TV, under the On Demand section.
Lizy Tagliani will host Got Talent Argentina, and the jury includes singer Abel Pintos, urban music singer La Joaqui, renowned Uruguayan dancer and choreographer Emir Abdul, and actress Florencia Peña.
Guillermo Pendino, VP of Programming and Content at Telefe, told PRODU that the program aims to sit the family together in front of the screen and that it is the most important talent format in the world. It is currently being produced in more than 70 countries.
He explained that unlike other versions using real theaters for performances, Got Talent Argentina is done in a studio, which greatly improves the quality. “The scenery is impressive,” he said.
Pendino said that they did a casting throughout the country including Lizy because he wanted to know the life story of each participant. They selected more than 450 talents.
“Beyond the life stories, what matters is talent. The production team returned amazed with the great variety of disciplines and that will be seen in each program. Argentina is a country with a lot of talent and that is going to complicate the task of the jury,” he explained.
He added that Telefe continues to bet on big shows where production quality is getting better. “We are raising the bar, we are always going for more to make high-quality content attracting the whole family around the TV set or any other screen.”
Got Talent Argentina has had the support of big advertisers from the beginning. Pendino mentioned Banco Macro, Drean, Nissan, Eskabe, Cetrogar, La Segunda, Mercado Libre, Sommier Center, Leiva Joyas, and Correo Argentino. Some only advertise on TV, and others bet on the entire ecosystem; it depends on what products they want to promote. “The package is tailored to the needs of each advertiser.”
