Secretos de las Indomables (10×60′) debuted two months ago on Canela.TV following the path of success marked by Secretos de Villanas, “will continue to grow as a franchise in all imaginable directions,” according to Rubén Consuegra and Enrique Sapene, co-partners and co-owners of the Los Angeles-based filmmaker River Waves Productions.
Secretos de las Indomables is the second original production by River Waves Productions. The first was Secretos de Villanas, which premieres its second season on the 26th on Canela.TV.
“We know that Las Indomables has a future as a group and as a show; we still have to define the new step as a group, but – definitely – there will be new aspects of this Secretos franchise. Las Villanas was an example of how success triggered season two, and we – informally like River Waves because we still do not have a signal at the network level – see a lot of future for this group of girlfriends because there is so much to say yet, and so many Indomables to join. Las Indomables is a definition that not only applies to the six great in this season. We know that there are others -many – with important stories to tell,” said Consuegra.
Sapene added that Secretos de las Indomables has sparked conversations temporarily voice to women within our society; things that went to pause during the pandemic and that our ‘indomables’ once again denounced, driving a conversation and a controversy that has marked a before and after the show within the industry.”
They see a long-term relationship with Canela.TV because at this moment their intentions and purposes are aligned.
They added that they were looking for a space so the stars of Secretos could engage more with their audience. “We wanted to find a very intimate space which aligns us with Canela. We think the relationship with them has a great future because we have similar perceptions about the industry. We also like that it is a platform in its beginnings, where we are the pioneers, being the first and somehow responsible for the success of a platform with noble principles, such as speaking to the US Hispanic community and Latin America. It is something very positive for River Waves.”
