Univision and Fusion Media Group has announced the co-chairs for RiseUp As One

Camila Jiménez Villa, co-president and Chief Content Officer of the Fusion Media Group

Univision Communications Inc. (UCI), and the Fusion Media Group (FMG), announced the addition of the musician Lin Manuel-Miranda to the list of honorary co-chairs for RiseUp As One (#RiseUpAsOne).

This will be a two-day celebration of music, diversity and unity which will take place on October 14 and 15. The event will feature a heavyweight lineup of artists, musicians, influencers and thought leaders and will consist of performances, talks and cultural expositions.

Miranda will join the co-directors, which include T Bone Burnett, Kenneth Cole, Jason Collins, Emilio and Gloria Estefan, America Ferrera, Salma Hayek, Samuel L. Jackson, Quincy Jones, Robert Rodriguez, Forest Whitaker and Ethan Zuckerman, among others.

“It is an honor to have such a diverse and talented inspiring people to celebrate with us who we are and our lifestyle with this unprecedented event” said Camila Jiménez Villa, co-president and Chief Content Officer of the Fusion Media Group.

Friday, October 14 will be a day of thought leadership on issues related to unity and inclusion followed by a free ticketed concert headlined by internationally acclaimed artists and musicians on Saturday, October 15.

The concert will be broadcast live October 15 coast-to-coast in Spanish on Univision Network and in English on Fusion, from 7pm.
