Televisa announced the signing of two agreements that will be valid for several years with Telemundo Internacional and NBCUniversal International Distribution for the regions of Mexico and Latin America, except Brazil, in which they strengthen their platforms, including their SVOD Blim service, with superseries from Telemundo and films from NBCUniversal.
With this signing, Blim achieves exclusiveness for the first window of certain Telemundo superseries. El Señor de los Cielos with all its seasons is one of them, as well as La Querida del Centauro and Señora Acero.
“We are very happy to extend our agreement with NBCUniversal International Distribution for open TV and to add this content for Blim and Televisa Networks. We are also thrilled that Blim is housing superseries by Telemundo Internacional for all Spanish-speaking Latin America,” commented José Bastón, president of Television and Content at Televisa.
The agreement extends one that already exists between NBCUniversal and Televisa for open TV in Mexico, and includes a film package for the Televisa Networks, Golden Premier and Golden pay TV channels, and also for Blim, with films like Despicable Me 2, 47 Ronin, Dracula Untold and series such as Mr. Robot or Shades of Blue for open TV, while on Blim there will be films like King Kong or Hulk and series like Bates Motel, Spartacus, Heroes, among others.
“We are very proud to extend our agreement with Televisa to include a selection of the best content from Telemundo and NBCUniversal International,” said César Conde, Chairman of NBCUniversal International Group and NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises.
