Executive producer at Animal de Luz, Luis Salinas
Executive producer at Animal de Luz, Luis Salinas shared the Mexican production house plans during the shooting of Las 13 Esposas de Wilson Fernández. With the series, will be presenting their first TV production, together with Letca Films. The debut will take place at Blim of Televisa in mid-February.
“Televisa takes interest in working a lot with movie people for this platform, with that quality label and that way of filming. Animal de Luz profile is most dedicated to cinema” he explained. “Netflix shook up the quality demanded by the viewers. People do not watch TV as they did before, not even soap operas, they demand more, because they have access to better quality things, better told and they prefer them over the same formula used recently by TV. Executives are aware of this and are confident in movie people who do things with a little more quality, more feeling, try that it’s better told, that it looks superior, with improved production and post production. For us this series is like doing three movies one after the other regarding time and budget, and it arrives pretending to be at the level of US and Europe’s series.”
Animal de Luz has done many films, among which La Jaula de Oro stands out, it’s the most awarded movie of Mexico’s history. For 2017 they expect to grow in TV series production of great quality.
