The debut of Mini Beat Power Rockers (52×5′), that will be aired starting Monday, August 28 at 5:30pm, has generated great expectations in the Discovery Kids team. It is a co-production with MundoLoco, the production company owned by Juan José Campanella and Gastón Gorali, and it is a project they made especially for the signal.
“The channel has an educational profile, and with this series, in particular, we wanted to explore different musical genres. In the 52 episodes there are 26 original songs and at the end of each episode they explain a bit about the genre the episode dealt with,” explained Carolina Lightcap, EVP, and CCO of Discovery Networks Latin America.
The series also has games on Discovery Kids Play and on the app and with shorts films on YouTube for kids and on Facebook, more oriented towards parents.
“All our original productions have additional contents to support the property in digital media and to generate a connection with the kids and their families,” commented Lightcap.
Shot in 3D, it has versions in Spanish and Portuguese (for Discovery Kids Brazil) and in English for its international sales. Lightcap announced they are in conversations with important distributors of content for children, in the aim to add more screens around the rest of the world.
She also informed that they are working on the scripts for a second season “because animation is such a meticulous and elaborate process, it takes time”.
