Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) – Americas announced its new programming and format sales structure, as well as Guillermo Borensztein’s new role as VP, Content Sales, and Coproductions. The announcement was made by Pierluigi Gazzolo, President, VIMN Americas.
Following Telefe’s integration into VIMN Americas’ portfolio, the department was designed to meet the company’s new sales requirements and increase its content distribution capacity by leveraging the experience of a combined Telefe and VIMN team.
The team, composed of VIMN Americas and Telefe sales executives, will be responsible for overseeing the sales of the company’s entire content portfolio in the Americas region, including VIMN and Telefe’s original productions, as well as Porta Dos Fundos’ content in Brazil.
This team will also work closely with and will have a dual report into Viacom International Media Networks’ International Program Sales (IPS) department, led by Caroline Beaton, SVP, VIMN IPS, in order to increment sales of the rest of Viacom International’s vast content library in the region. For the Telefe and Porta dos Fundos catalog distributed outside the Americas region, Borensztein and team will collaborate closely with the VIMN IPS team, who currently distributes all Viacom product, to provide clients with the most comprehensive product offering.
Guillermo Borensztein, who has formed part of Telefe’s team for the past nine years, will oversee this new area as VP of Content Sales and Coproductions.
“Following Telefe’s acquisition, our content offering has increased enormously, currently offering products for all age groups, from preschoolers, kids, and youth, to the coveted adult prime-time demo. With this new structure in place, we are better positioned to meet the needs of all of our free-to-air, SVOD and pay TV clients. I’m certain Guillermo is the ideal person to lead this new department which is fundamental to the future success of our business and key in allowing us to capitalize on the thousands of hours of incredible content we currently own,” stated Gazzolo.
