NTN24 expands reach on DIRECTV and RCN Novelas enters Altice USA

RCN International´s signal NTN24 recently expanded its distribution in US Hispanic upon entering DIRECTV´s Optimo package.
“We have had a contract with DIRECTV for several years for NTN24, but we were on a plan that covers half of its subscribers. This leap to the Optimo package allows us to reach their entire subscriber base. This is clearly a reflection of the acceptance our channel has among Hispanics and it endorses the effort made to inform and cater to our community in the US,” expressed Julián Giraldo, EVP, RCN International, with satisfaction.
Currently, DIRECTV distributes the channels NTN24 and RCN’s Nuestra Tele.
Another announcement was the entry of RCN Novelas for the first time to the grid of cable operator Altice USA, in the Optimum package as of October. “RCN Novelas only had presence in the US through OTT, we are now also on cable. Altice USA is the first operator in this market to have our three channels: NTN24, Nuestra Tele and now RCN Novelas,” he mentioned.
“This news consolidate us as an important quality content in Spanish providers in the region. There are few channels in Spanish that have three signals that produce 100% of its content. I think there are few examples of channels in the Hispanic market that can say that. This is due to the fact that we are making quality products that the audience receives very well,” ended Giraldo.
