Cynthia Hudson, SVP and general manager of CNN en Español, announced the incorporation of two journalists to the signal´s team, who will have their own TV programs, that will be aired from Buenos Aires. They are Jonatan Viale, who will have a cycle from Monday to Friday; and Marcelo Longobardi, who will have a debate program on Sundays.
“Our dream was to continue growing in the South Cone and to add more local programming, and we precisely had this opportunity with two journalists like Jonatan and Longobardi. We are thrilled and committed to production from,” said Hudson.
Additionally, they are launching CNN Radio, which in this case is a joint venture that will use content from CNN, the brand and CNN’s rigorous journalism standards “that is what differentiates us from other channels, and what I am proud of,” she added.
They will also offer more original documentaries and event coverages like the Cumbre de las Américas (Americas Summit), that will take place in Peru this year; the Soccer World Cup and presidential elections in several countries.
“We will also cover the turbulence because part of our role is to be in good and in bad and when there are difficulties,” he highlighted.
Regarding social networks, they are currently number 1 in news and are strengthening the CNN digital team to be able to continue growing within that space.
