FOX Networks Group LatAm: In Natpe we saw opportunities to bring stories to US Hispanic where there aren’t any of the group’s screens

The Brazilian series 1 Contra Todos and Llámame Bruna and the Mexican Run Coyote Run are on FOX Networks Group Latin America´s agenda. They are seeking distributors in the US Hispanic market, both on open and on pay TV.
“We have a strong series catalog and in Natpe we saw the opportunity to bring these stories to the US Hispanic network, where there aren´t any of the group´s screens,” reported Manuel Míguez, executive director for Content Distribution for Latin America and US Hispanic at FOX Networks Group Latin America.
The group’s success with the distribution of Turkish dramas in the region opens new business possibilities for it. “We see great opportunities for Second Chance and Alas del Amor in territories such as Chile, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico and US Hispanic. Additionally, we are exploring the possibility of making local adaptations of these successful productions.”
Another content the company has great expectations about is the series Deep State (8×60’), which they launched during Mipcom. It is the group’s first European production.
“It is a fascinating series about retired agent from the British Intelligence who is requested to return to investigate his son’s death and at the end, he finds out he wasn’t dead. Here, we will see situations that can be seen in the real world: terrorism, nuclear bombs. Soon, we will announce the international sales we are doing of this series and are seeking for the ideal home in Latin America for this content,” sentenced Míguez.
