Set to launch soon, Xin+ is a groundbreaking digital platform offering both streaming entertainment and interactive educational materials. Backed by Spanglish Movies, Xin+ will debut in Puerto Rico with plans for future expansion into the US and other Latin American markets.
Xin+ empowers users to improve their mental and emotional well-being by offering a seamlessly integrated platform featuring entertainment, education, and wellness resources. This user-friendly platform is designed for easy access.
“What sets our platform apart is its ability to bridge the gap between entertainment and mental well-being. Imagine watching a captivating movie that touches on mental health themes. While the film entertains, there might be a missed opportunity to delve deeper. That’s where we come in. Our platform aims to leverage the power of entertainment to provide users with additional resources on navigating these themes and finding healthy coping mechanisms,” explained Renaldo Ñeco Peña and Yamill Ortiz, founding members of Xin+.
MENTAL HEALTH THROUGH ENTERTAINMENT
To fulfill its mission of providing enriching and educational content, Xin+ has partnered with film distributors like Spanglish Movies.
This collaboration elevates the entertainment experience. Films on FLOU.tv will not only be entertaining but will also be complemented by exclusive educational materials available on Xin+. These resources will enrich users’ understanding and promote positive values.
“We’re honored to support a groundbreaking mental health initiative like Xin+ through our films and media. Together, we can make a real difference in people’s lives and break mental health stigma. We’ll keep pushing for hope, because mental health matters to everyone!” said Gustavo Aparicio, CEO of Spanglish Movies.
“Through this collaboration with Spanglish Movies, we aim to identify existing content that aligns with universal values and transform it into educational projects with global reach,” noted Peña and Ortiz.
E-LEARNING PLATFORM
The Xin+ team comprises seasoned professionals from various fields, including communications, technology, marketing, advertising, digital marketing, new technologies, and computer security. They have a history of social impact projects, developing educational initiatives based on plays and films. A prime example is their work with the play Amor en el Caserío which they subsequently transformed into a film serving as an “empowerment project for the communities,” Peña and Ortiz pointed out.
They added that they’ve developed an educational platform that unlocks hidden value in content previously considered purely entertainment.
They explain that this e-learning platform takes these existing contents a step further. “We create masterclasses and courses based on them, allowing viewers to delve deeper into the themes explored in the content they may have already enjoyed.”
Xin+ targets a broad audience, ranging from teenagers to young adults. In this initial phase, they’re offering a range of free content, with plans to introduce a premium tier in the future. This ensures accessibility to wellness and educational resources for everyone.
“This platform can connect a wide range of creators with valuable content, empowering them to monetize their work. Ultimately, it will also offer creators opportunities to monetize directly on the platforms themselves,” they noted.
Xin+ leverages artificial intelligence to personalize the user experience by providing individualized assessments. Additionally, the platform utilizes neuromarketing tools to measure the effectiveness of its educational and entertainment materials.
