Recently, Armonía TeVe Sana, the first Latin American FAST channel focused on wellness and lifestyle, was launched. It is now available in Spain through Tivify and will soon be accessible in the region and the Hispanic market in the USA.
The channel covers themes like holistic therapeutic tools: reiki, constellations, shamanism, sound vibrations, high frequencies, music, biodanza, tarot, hypopressives, and fasting, featuring prominent figures in yoga and meditation.
It also aims to explore the lives of ordinary people engaging in various sports like surfing, outdoor living, swimming, running, cycling, hiking, and mountaineering.
“It will allow us to educate and entertain within natural settings, providing viewers with new experiences. Healthy eating in its various forms, combined with indoor and outdoor sports, will allow us to find what we need individually, generating well-being and quality of life,” explained Pablo Tortora, director of KHP, the channel’s producer, to PRODU.
He added that Armonía TeVe Sana is characterized by quality television with an attractive and interesting narrative supported by images illustrating activities, from yoga classes to climbing Aconcagua. “We strive to make each program enjoyable and ensure the audience finds what they are looking for. A wide variety of topics is covered, as we believe the reaction of the listener is as important as the speaker’s words. This reaction drives the narrative forward.”
REASONS FOR THE LAUNCH
Tortora mentioned that the idea for the channel emerged during the pandemic when months of inactivity highlighted a demand for wellness-related content in conversations with colleagues from Spain, the USA, Italy, and across Latin America.
“There were many online courses and workshops promoted on social media, and educational platforms became strong. Additionally, Michelle Ravilet from 929 Marketing contacted me and talked about FAST channels, encouraging me to create an original channel to be distributed internationally by SoFAST. After brainstorming and market exploration, we decided to launch a wellness channel, and the FAST technology made it feasible. We developed nine programs for the channel, and that’s how it all started,” he recalls.
BRAND PRESENCE
The channel features brands related to its themes and targets a diverse audience of 17 to 90 years old, including men and women, students, teachers, professionals, merchants, homemakers, and workers, making it highly attractive for brands.
Besides this channel, the producer plans to launch another dedicated to surfing, skateboarding, SUP, and snowboarding, with extensive programming that includes locations, secret spots, and lifestyle.
FAST
Tortora explained that FAST is a free, easily accessible technology available on phones, tablets, Smart TVs, or computers. For example, Samsung TV already offers over 70 FAST channels, and more platforms are emerging.
“Currently, watching content online is a legal, convenient, highly recommended option that offers a vast array of specialized or thematic content for all types of audiences. This means you don’t need a paid subscription or a traditional TV antenna to access these services. They provide a wide range of content, including movies, TV shows, sports, series, wellness, lifestyle, entertainment, news, and more. Considering the economic crisis in several countries in the region, the free option will start to gain importance, and niche channels will begin to position themselves,” he concluded.
