Telemundo´s new production and the second to be made at Telemundo Center, 100 Días Para Enamorarnos, represents a new step in the production quality level driven by Marcos Santana and his Telemundo Global Studios team.
“Marcos set the bar very high in terms of art and realization, and the main client, that is the audience, deserves the best and that is what we do on Telemundo. It`s not just what we produce here, but in Mexico and Colombia. After Betty, we decided to do something different, a nove-series or seriela because it is the perfect combination of novela and series (100-120 episodes), but very much series-style. The sets we are building are complete houses and we are shooting exteriors in a city. We made Betty in NY in New York and we are determined to make this one in Houston,” explained Miguel Varoni, VP and Creative Director of Telemundo Global Studios and Executive Producer of 100 Días.
He added that they are shooting and post-producing in 4K, that is a difficult job in terms of time and demands, “but we must bring quality to our audience and OTTs”. He recalled that in April, they will launch Peacock, the NBCU OTT, and have to comply with technical requirements to be on that screen, “so that when the audience sees our material, they don´t feel they are watching something different, but with a uniform criteria,” he added.
Varoni praised the entire technical team, as well as the writers team, where Ricardo Álvarez Canales, together with Sebastián Ortega and Underground, are doing the adaptation. He also praised the cast, led by the actor Erick Elías.
