Univision presented eleven new scripted titles on its virtual Upfront. Jessica Rodríguez, CMO and president of Entertainment at Univision, highlighted three series: two original adaptations of international hits with Imperio de Mentiras (from Televisa, starring Angelique Boyer, who participated from the set in Mexico to send a greeting) and Te Acuerdas de Mí (from Televisa, produced by Carmen Armendáriz, with Gabriel Soto) and the third, Si Nos Dejan, based on the hit Señora Isabel, produced by Carlos Bardasano from W Studios and written by Leonardo Padrón.
In terms of musical events, Rodríguez revealed that for 2021 two new franchises will join the portfolio: Latin Grammy Honra, that will pay a tribute to a genre, a person, or a movement that has a positive impact on the music industry, and Íconos de la Música. The first special of Íconos de la Música produced together with Blackbird Presents and Sony Music Latin, will be dedicated to Jenni Rivera.
For Univision´s block Domingo de Familia, a fourth franchise will be added, the local adaptation of the contest format Tu Cara Me Suena (Univision Studios), to the existing three Nuestra Belleza Latina, Mira Quién Baila and Pequeños Gigantes.
