Leonardo Zimbrón spoke EN VIVO with Ríchard Izarra about his recent role at 3Pas Studios, the production company of Eugenio Derbez, where he joined a year ago after a brief stint at Amazon Studios.
“Wherever I am, I’m a producer and a storyteller,” he commented. “Eugenio is one of the hardest-working professionals in history, and with his partner Ben Odell, they work like crazy and inspire the entire team. They are a great team making content, movies, and series in both English and Spanish, inspiring with the quality they foster, while also giving us the freedom to create things we believe can work. It’s a joy because doing things well is fun.”
Zimbrón is based in Miami, but the production company also operates between Los Angeles and Mexico City, with partners in Spain, Italy, the United Kingdom, and Colombia. “Borders no longer exist; you need to find talent wherever they may be,” says the Mexican producer. “We are a studio, but we behave like independent producers. 3Pas is already a reference in the market, and it has a foothold in the US Hispanic sector, which is enviable.”
During Iberseries & Platino Industria, the company was reviewing a selection of movies and series prepared by the market, while also engaging in the necessary networking that drives the industry. “Here, you meet future partners, financial partners, expand your criteria, and discover new talents. The best place to do business is at the markets.”
