Adriana Vargas to co-anchor WXTV Univision 41´s newscast Noticias 41

WXTV Univision 41 of New York announced that veteran journalist Adriana Vargas has joined the station’s primetime newscast as co-anchor of Noticias Univision 41 a las 6 y a las 11.Beginning Monday, August 15, 2011, Vargas will present the highly-rated newscast alongside news anchor Rafael Pineda. “We are pleased to count with Adriana’s journalism experience and credibility to continue delivering a high-quality newscast to our viewers in the tri-state area. She shares our commitment of informing our community with the news they’ve come to expect,” said Norma Morato, news director, WXTV Univision 41. Vargas most recently served as the official spokesperson and director of international media for the President of Colombia, Juan Manuel Santos. Before that, Vargas was editorial content advisor and news anchor for RCN Television’s NTN24 and RCN Radio.
