PXTV, the Hispanic extreme sports, music and lifestyle channel, announced the networks launch on the AT&T U-verse App. This announcement comes on the heels of the carriage launch on AT&T U-Verse in the U.S. The app, available to all AT&T U-verse subscribers, will provide full access to PXTVs live coverage of skateboarding, BMX, MMA, biking, motocross, snowboarding, drifting, surfing, paragliding and more from subscribers smartphones, tables and other out-of-home devices.Action sports fans are on the go and want immediate access to PXTVs live coverage of competitions as well as its original shows and packaged series. PXTV knows its audience, todays young Hispanics, and the need to reach them through their smartphones and tablets. The AT&T U-verse app is the smart delivery platform for young, mobile consumers and this expansion of the AT&T U-verse carriage agreement validates PXTVs effectiveness in reaching this highly coveted audience segment, said Alejandro Mercado, president of PXTV. As previously announced, PXTV is available now on AT&T U-verse channel 3122 on the U200, U300 and U450 Latino packages, which offer more than 60 Spanish-language channels, as well as Paquete Español. The channel is distributed by AlternaTV, a subsidiary of satellite service provider Eutelsat Americas. US Hispanics are avid consumers of media, and as recent statistics demonstrate, young-adult Hispanics are spending over 50 minutes per day on mobile devices in comparison to their non-Hispanics counterparts.
