Ana Bond has been named SVP and managing director, International Production, Latin America for Sony Pictures Television (SPT), it was announced today by Wayne Garvie, president, International Production, SPT, to whom she will report.
Based in Miami, Bond will oversee the company’s production business across the region, including SPT’s joint venture entities Teleset in Colombia and Floresta in Brazil.
“Ana’s a well-respected leader in the tight-knit community in Latin America. Her years of experience across all areas of the industry and her innate business background are essential to this role and I’m delighted to welcome her to SPT’s international production family. We all look forward to working with Ana and seeing SPT Latin America reach even greater success under her leadership,” said Garvie.
Bond joins SPT from W Studios, a joint venture between Univision and producer Patricio Wills, where she was SVP of Business & Strategy.
Bond joined RTI Productions in Miami in 2010 as VP of Business Development and Legal Affairs, where she played an important role in transforming the company into a multi-client content creator and international producer.
Previously, Bond was VP of Business & Music Affairs at Telemundo Network Group LLC. Prior to joining Telemundo, Bond worked for the Caracas office of Steel Hector & Davis, a law firm headquartered in Miami, now part of Cleveland-based Squire Sanders & Dempsey LLP.
