App Rafy revolutionizes the self-taping process for actors

Rafy, an innovative new app designed to transform the self-taping process for actors, has officially launched. This groundbreaking platform empowers actors to autonomously practice and record self-tapes effortlessly, anytime and anywhere, offering a seamless solution to a long-standing challenge in the industry.

Traditionally, actors have been constrained by their dependence on others for scheduling, space, and time to prepare and shoot self-tapes for casting calls. This reliance often limits their creative control and impedes their ability to efficiently manage their careers and timely opportunities. Rafy addresses these issues head-on, providing actors with a proprietary powerful tool to take full ownership of their auditioning process, thus breaking down barriers and enhancing their creative freedom.

CREATED BY ACTORS FOR ACTORS

Rafy is an app created by actors for actors. “As someone who has experienced the frustrations of the self-taping process firsthand, I know how empowering it is to have a tool that gives you complete control of your time. Our mission with Rafy is to eliminate the obstacles that have hindered actors and to offer a solution that truly meets our needs,” said Jamila Hache, co-founder and an actor herself.

The app is designed to be intuitive and accessible, incorporating ethical AI to simplify technical challenges ensuring actors maintain complete control over their self-tape sessions while safeguarding their privacy at all times. Rafy stands out as the first-to-market and only app of its kind to offer a token-based, fully integrated solution for self-taping, marking a significant advancement in the actor’s tech space, which has seen little innovation until now.

Rafy is available in both English and Spanish, with additional languages planned for future releases. Currently available exclusively on iOS for iPhone, Rafy will introduce an iPad version by the end of the year and expand to Android in early 2025.

The launch of Rafy also highlights the remarkable journey of its founders, Daniel Rojas and Jamila Hache, two Hispanic entrepreneurs whose leadership and vision are driving change in both the entertainment and tech industries.

“We are incredibly excited to introduce Rafy to the world and empower actors to take control of their careers. Our goal is to provide a platform that truly understands and meets the needs of today’s actors, and we’re thrilled to see how it will empower them,” added Daniel Rojas, co-founder.
