Apple TV+ presented on the 2021 winter tour of the Television Critics Association (TCA) on Friday, a preview of their list of Apple Originals productions, new titles, and recurring series.
In the event they presented new series such as The Mosquito Coast (7×60’), a drama adapted from Paul Theroux’s most sold novela, starring Justin Theroux, Melissa George, Logan Polish, and Gabriel Bateman, that will be launched on Friday, April 30 (produced by Fremantle); the limited series Lisey’s Story, from the creator and executive producer J.J. Abrams, starring Julianne Moore, Clive Owen, Joan Allen, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Dane DeHaan that will have its debut mid-year; the new musical series Schmigadoon! to be launched mid-year, produced by Lorne Michaels starring Cecily Strong and Keegan-Michael Key; the dramatic, 10-episode series Physical, starring Rose Byrne and created by Annie Weisman to debut mid-year; and the comedy series Mythic Quest whose second season will have its debut on Friday, May 7.
For All Mankind, a series produced by Sony Pictures Television, whose second season was launched on Friday, February 19 on Apple TV+ and whose third season will soon enter production, was also presented. The stars Joel Kinnaman, Sarah Jones, and Wrenn Schmidt participated in a panel with the creators and executive producers Ronald D. Moore, Ben Nedivi, and Matt Wolpert.
These and other titles will have their global debuts in more than 100 countries, on Apple TV+.
