Aurelio Valcárcel steps down as EVP of Production of Telemundo Studios

Last week, Aurelio Valcárcel announced that he is stepping down from his role as EVP of Production of Telemundo Studios.“As of June 30th of this year, my cycle as executive producer of Telemundo Studios comes to an end. It started in 2003 and with the continued support of Patricio Wills, Jim McNamara and Marcos Santana, we produced successful projects that our Hispanic market remembers fondly,” said Valcárcel in a press release. He did not disclose his future professional plans.Valcárcel listed some of the titles produced under his stewardship: Amor Descarado, Prisionera, Anita No Te Rajes, Tierra De Pasiones, El Cuerpo Del Deseo, La Viuda De Blanco, El Rostro De Analía, Dame Chocolate, Pecados Ajenos, Más Sabe El Diablo, Decisiones (series), Lotería (series), El Fantasma De Elena, Aurora, ¿Dónde Está Elisa?, Perro Amor, Relaciones Peligrosas, Alguien Te Mira, El Rostro De La Venganza, La Casa De Al Lado, Mi Corazón Insiste, Una Maid En Manhattan, Dama y Obrero, Corazón Valiente, Marido En Alquiler, and Reina De Corazones.“Today we close this first cycle and I want to thank NBC-Telemundo for the trust and the support they gave me to develop myself professionally in this Hispanic universe that everyday is broadening its borders to new horizons. The show must go on!” said Valcárcel.
