As a tribute to Latin women who work hard every day to get ahead and whose stories are truly moving, Azteca América will soon launch a fun new family-friendly and inspirational program, Reina por un Día. The show premieres in Mexico on Monday, March 14 at 4pm.Hosted by Raquel Bigorra and produced by Luis Chávez, Reina por un Día is a game show which will look at three different women each day and their stories of struggle. Each of them will face fun contests that will put their abilities to the test. The winner will see her dream come true and feel like a queen for a day.During a media presentation that took place on International Women’s Day, director of Entertainment and Production at Azteca 13 and vice president of Entertainment and Production at Azteca América Roberto Romagnoli announced that Ingrid Coronado will no longer host the show because she has been restricted to bed rest during her pregnancy.“As you know, since last year we at Azteca have been working to live to our commitment to bring families together. In these times of economic hardship, there is no better message than to bring together the whole family to watch this kind of safe and wholesome program that can be enjoyed not only by homemakers, but also by grandparents, children and dads,” stated Alberto Santini Lara, general director of Azteca 13 and Azteca Novelas and the executive vice president of Programming, Production and Marketing for Azteca América.
