Azteca officially introduced its new show {Soy Tu Doble;www.produ.com/television/videos/index.html?noti=8481}, that premiered on August 18th at 7pm. Hosted by Alfonso de Anda, the show has Niurka Marcos, Héctor Martínez, EseWey and Cynthia Rodríguez as judges, and features Julio Iglesias Jr. as one of the participants.Producer Juan Navarrete spoke to PRODU and offered some details about the project, which is scheduled to air in a time slot previously dedicated to telenovelas.Its a family format that seeks to entertain and does it in a spectacular fashion. The challenge was to entertain the family and we will not disappoint. Its 24 people competing over nine weeks impersonating international music stars at some point in their careers. Its not a parody; its fun because the combination of elements make it that way, said Navarrete.He says audiences will appreciate watching a different show in a time slot traditionally devoted to telenovelas: its a new approach, and I believe when you offer something different to viewers, they appreciate it. When you miss a novela you can watch it again, you cant do that with this type of content.
