Azteca began recording its new telenovela, Tanto amor (120×60), produced by Rita Fusaro and starring Leonardo García and Melissa Barrera, to be launched next August 3rd at 8pm on Trece. It is an adaptation of the Argentinean story Pasiones and the Mexican version Con Toda el Alma, and is part of the tv stations strategy to continue generating content for its prime time schedule.During the presentation, Elisa Salinas, director of Azteca Novelas, stated that Tanto Amor is a project we had been working on for more than a year, and is the updated version of my first telenovela Con Toda el Alma. It was very challenging because it has a very attractive and innovative modern proposal compared to how traditional it was at that time. The writer, and the person who adapted the script, Mauricio Samuano, offered details of what this story will be: It has a novel plot regarding its form, style, a bit similar to that of miniseries, full of excitement, intrigue, but at the same time, it is nurtured by the authentic melodrama we are used to. The story in its essence is simple, it is about a humble woman who finds herself involved in a crime and must run away, and when she arrives to the city, all kinds of things will happen to her.Tanto Amor is an original story by Ligia Lezama, adapted by Mauricio Samoano and Gloria Bautista. Aside from the stars, in the cast there are outstanding names such as Ofelia Medina, Rossana Nájera, Andrea Noli and Arap Betke, among others.
