Horacio Gennari, president of BB, highlighted among his conclusions that in the future all human beings will become an algorithm, connectivity will be a universal human right and artificial intelligence and robotics will drive more developed economies and create jobs.
Gennari, who founded BB Media Day Miami 2018, added that the tension between countries and the distribution of wealth will continue; Communications, media, and entertainment will keep on growing in Latin America, and they anticipate in the region a low impact of the cord-cutter until 2025. He highlighted the Heptaplay (telephone, Internet, cell phones, pay TV, TV everywhere and SVOD, streaming music and smart home) with packages that will range from super basic to super premium.
He also said that in the future, Hollywood, as it is known today, will cease to exist, but there will be a decentralization of content production throughout the world.
“We are on the way of a super binge-watching era”, he added, with shorter content (no more than 14 to 15 minutes), where newspapers and paper magazines will disappear, while radio will be reborn with Spotify and the podcasts.
He said that BB’s https://dondeloveo.com initiative already has recommendations on 2.5 million movies to watch legally in Latin America. He also indicated that they are analyzing merging with a similar site in the US to also include that market.
