Vanessa Rosas, director of Blim TV, assured they have evolved with the audience and want to give it options to watch the content where they prefer. This is why now, along with VOD content, they are also adding 31 live channels that include all of Televisa´s open and pay TV channels and also the ones from Atresmedia and Telemundo Internacional, among others.
“The strategy of the niche we aim at, contents in Spanish, produced in Spanish, was very present from the beginning. We are looking for younger audiences that don´t plan to hire a pay-TV service. We know our content (Televisa) is consumed more and more every day and the idea is to upload different contents to the different windows, with specific exclusivity times per window,” she explained.
The goals Blim TV wants to accomplish before the end of the year are to raise subscriptions by 30% and increase the number of episodes and films. They currently have 8% of the SVOD in Mexico and are located in the third step in the country. Blim TV is in 18 countries in LatAm, although the live channel’s part is reserved for Mexico because of rights.
They also have plans to continue with original production for the platform. Between the end of this year and the beginning of the next one, they will launch Sobre Amor, from Televisa Digital, that will have Blim as the first screen. It is a series with seven 15-minute episodes- “We are very proud of what we have achieved and excited about what´s coming. 15 of the contents of the top 20 are from Televisa and the three first ones too,” she stated.
