Blue Ant Media has been expanding its presence in Latin America, focusing on Argentina, Mexico, Colombia, Chile, and Brazil.
“In the entire Latin American region, our Love Nature channel in 4K (also in HD) is available in 22 countries on more than 70 platforms, reaching 43 million homes,” said Julio Sobral, Senior VP of Global Networks for the U.S. and Latin America at Blue Ant Media, in an interview with PRODU.
He mentioned that in Argentina, Blue Ant Media’s reach includes some of the country’s major providers like Telecentro, Nortelevisa, Antina, Cablevideo Digital, Private Communications, Sudoeste Televisora Color, Gigared, Megavisión Santiago, and Playcom, “allowing us to bring our content to millions of homes. With a focus on both linear and VOD offerings, we are committed to enhancing the viewing experience by continuously updating our content library and working closely with our platform partners. Love Nature was the first 4K channel launched in Argentina by Telecentro, and last year we collaborated with DIRECTV for a regional launch,” explained Sobral.
FAST CHANNEL
Sobral mentioned that they recently launched Blue Ant Media’s FAST Channel, specializing in home renovation and real estate, called Homeful, on PlutoTV regionally, and Samsung in Mexico and Brazil.
LOCAL CO-PRODUCTION
Sobral also mentioned that Love Nature is looking for natural history and wildlife producers in Latin America. “Recently, Love Nature launched two new series and documentaries filmed in Latin American regions, such as Jaguar Journals with Lizzie Daly (filmed in Pantanal, Brazil) and Wild Colombia (filmed in the Colombian jungle).”
GROWTH OPPORTUNITIES
Sobral noted that many of Blue Ant Media’s partners in the region offer mobile and Internet services in addition to cable and satellite, ensuring that the company’s content is accessible across various devices and platforms.
“Looking ahead, Blue Ant Media remains committed to delivering engaging and high-quality content through Love Nature and Homeful, while exploring new opportunities to connect with audiences in Argentina and beyond,” he said.
